2022 was a breakthrough year in AI
We learned that Generative AI has a massive impact on everything from creative industries to business operations. Millions of people are actively using AI tools today which shows that our society is ready to welcome AI into their daily lives. Gartner [estimates](https://www.gartner.com/en/newsroom/press- releases/2022-10-10-gartner-identifies-seven-technology-disruptions-that-will- impact-sales-through-2027) that by 2025 Generative AI will account for 10% of all data produced, and for 30% of all outbound marketing messages from large brands.
In this blog post, we will cover some of the most popular apps in 2022 to help you prepare for 2023, which is certainly going to be another pivotal year for AI.

Text
It’s not just businesses that can benefit from text creation with Generative AI in the form of chatbots or copywriting tools. Anyone can use it to create essays, creative stories, character descriptions, translations, and much more.
GPT-3
This large language model from OpenAI can generate human-like text. You can use it for many things, like letting it suggest slogans or simply asking it about certain topics. It is very general-purpose text generation.

ChatGPT
ChatGPT is a fine-tuned version of a model in the GPT-3.5 series. You can read more about its use cases and limitations here. The purpose of ChatGPT is to be used in a conversational manner. However, do bear in mind that most answers are very long and quite generic.

Quickchat AI
This brings us to Quickchat AI. You can think of it as a conversational layer built on top of large language models like GPT-3. Emerson is a multilingual AI conversation partner. You can use it to learn new things, study languages or just to chat, Emerson does have a sense of humor for sure. You can use the Emerson AI mobile app to talk to Emerson via texting or voice & audio. If you are using Telegram, Emerson will respond to photos you send it.

Runway ML
Runway ML revolutionizes video editing, offering a variety of AI Magic Tools ranging from background removal, motion tracking, transcript creation, color grading a video with text, and much more. You can even add a green background to your video in seconds - it seems like green screens will be obsolete in the future. A few months ago, Runway announced that a text-to-video feature would be coming soon, allowing you to edit videos by typing commands.

With the various text-to-image generators that have hit the market this year, anyone can create their own AI art. There are also many useful apps using AI for enhancing photos or images as well as transforming existing images by removing or adding objects.
Lensa
This photo editor for selfies and photo retouching features a smart eraser and many pro adjustments. Lensa AI can also create Magic Avatars from selfies you feed it.

Vizcom develops creative tools for artists and designers. It can help you create optimized 3D renders of your drawings in seconds which can save you an enormous amount of time.

Stable Diffusion
AI art has taken the internet by the storm this summer. With text-to-image models like Stable Diffusion, you can easily create pictures by entering a text prompt (like we did for the image in our [recent blog post](https://blog.quickchat.ai/post/how-to-build-a-gpt3-ai-whatsapp-chat- bot/) on how to build conversational AI on WhatsApp). Oh, and be sure to add a negative prompt, telling the Stable Diffusion model what you don’t want to have in the image.

AI is becoming an increasingly important tool for software developers, increasing efficiency and accuracy. It can not only speed up the coding process, but also fully automate it.
GitHub Copilot
The AI pair programmer helps you write code faster and with less work. It draws context from comments and code and suggests lines and functions. A few weeks ago, a new brush feature was released to help you fix bugs and make your code cleaner and more robust.

ChatGPT
While GitHub Copilot helps you with coding, ChatGPT can generate code from scratch. Just tell it what you want to code, and it will do the job. It can also find bugs in your code.

Speech
Speech synthesis is the artificial production of human speech, allowing you to create voice-overs in a click. It is becoming increasingly popular and you’ve probably heard AI voices in social media videos, ads, call centers or smart assistants in the last month.

With this voice generation tool, you can create human-like voice recordings in different languages. You can integrate custom voices into your favorite tools and even clone your own voice by recording samples. (Pro tip from my first- hand experience: use a good microphone).

Music
There are tons of AI-powered music plugins that are very helpful tools for producers. But of course, if you have no idea how to create beats, AI can generate music from scratch.
Mubert
Mubert generates music tracks in an instant. You can select genres, moods or activities and set a duration. The music is royalty free, but in order to use it, you have to pay for a premium subscription. By the way, a text-to-music feature launched a few days ago!

Being one of the largest entertainment industries in the world, it’s only a matter of time before AI fundamentally changes gaming.
